Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is just that, a deep massage through the deeper lining muscle structures and fascia. As a result, this style of massage works very well for those suffering with Muscle Tension or Adhesions, that have been present for a while. Although Deep Tissue Massage uses similar techniques as Swedish Massage, they will come with more pressure in specific areas. Other soft tissue techniques are used alongside this therapy and as a result, this treatment can be great for those people who don’t want the deepness of a sports massage but still need the benefits of a “deeper” massage..

Used live well before, they are excellent and very professional. Liam was excellent, I had a very tight calf and hamstring which felt amazing after the massage and my wife had a sore/tight back which also felt lots better after the physio massage. Thanks again!

I was really impressed with Callum and the deep tissue massage I had a few days ago. Callum made me feel at ease, and we chatted throughout which I didn’t mind. Callum made sure to check in with me if the pressure is ok or if I have any pain. Great guy, I wish him all the best for the future and look forward to booking in with him again soon. Thank you!!

Being a lorry driver I started to suffer from a severe neck/back pain. A huge knot behind my shoulder blade, being there for 6 months maybe more on and off. I went to one or two massage therapists, it did not do the trick. I found Live Well and went with Steve. Went with a Deep Tissue Massage. After expressing my issue, his explanation to the deep tissue totally reduced my pain. Advising another may be needed. Couldn’t have been happier with the result. Felt sore the next morning as advised, however the knot and aches reduced significantly. Due to book another soon.

The benefits of deep tissue massage

Deep Tissue Massage offers a wealth of benefits through its skilled manual manipulation techniques. By effectively breaking down scar tissue, adhesions, trigger points, and reflex points, this specialised massage therapy promotes enhanced physical well-being. Moreover, deep tissue massage plays a pivotal role in loosening muscles, releasing toxins such as lactic acid, and optimising proper blood and oxygen circulation. As a result, this therapeutic treatment aids in the optimal functioning of the lymphatic and circulatory systems, ensuring a healthier body and improved overall condition.

The extensive advantages of deep tissue massage encompass various aspects of wellness. First and foremost, it serves as a valuable tool in injury prevention, as it helps to alleviate tension and stress on muscles and joints, reducing the risk of strains and sprains. Athletes and active individuals also reap the rewards of this massage technique, as it enhances performance by promoting muscle flexibility and overall range of motion. Additionally, deep tissue massage is renowned for its ability to reduce scar tissue, contributing to a smoother recovery process after injuries or surgeries.

With each session, individuals can expect to experience a notable reduction in muscle stiffness, allowing for greater ease in movement and daily activities. The increased blood circulation and lymphatic flow facilitated by deep tissue massage lead to improved tissue nourishment and faster healing. Furthermore, the treatment aids in restoring muscle length and balance, promoting a more harmonious alignment of the body and reducing the strain on muscles.

Beyond the physical benefits, deep tissue massage offers profound mental relief. The release of tension and stress is a hallmark of this therapeutic technique, leaving individuals in a state of deep relaxation and tranquillity. This dual approach to physical and mental well-being contributes to better posture and a sense of rejuvenation after each session. Moreover, as the body unwinds and tension dissipates, flexibility is notably improved, allowing for greater freedom of movement and a heightened sense of overall vitality.
