Osteopathic Spinal Manipulation
Osteopathic Spinal Manipulation, is a way of mobilising joints that have locked and become stiff. There are various reasons why this can happen so as part of our spinal manipulation service we do a full consultation and evaluation which will involve various active, passive and resisted testing along with certain special tests to identify the root cause of your problem and to treat it effectively. Some people think that cracking the facets and vertebrae is the end goal and although this will happen during the treatment at LiveWell, we aim to provide an all-round treatment that will include dealing with the muscles, soft tissue, ligaments and tendons first. We will then look into the skeletal dysfunctions in order to give you long-lasting pain relief and rehab. The aim is not just short term pain relief but not ultimately dealing with the root cause of your problem.
Spinal Manipulation Treatment at LiveWell Health
Within our osteopathic spinal manipulation therapy we will be able to treat issues around your hip/pelvis (sacroiliac joint), lumbar spine, thoracic spine and issues around lower cervical such as C7/T1. This will typically take care of 90% of issues around back and neck pain, headaches and various other symptoms of pain. We also deal with issues around the shoulders, knees and ankles.
We are able to let you know if we feel this service would be suitable for you once we have taken you through a full consultation and evaluation.
