Steven Hartill

Steven Hartill’s journey into health, rehabilitation, and performance was not a conventional one, it was forged through personal adversity, lived experience, and a determination to raise standards in an industry he once relied upon.

Over 13 years ago, Steven was working in an office based role within marketing consultancy when a serious Achilles tendon injury changed the course of his life. What followed were years of rehabilitation under various clinicians, marked by inconsistent advice, delayed progress, and ultimately poor clinical outcomes. After exhausting conservative care, Steven was forced to undergo surgery on both legs, spending nearly a year away from work and much of that time confined to a wheelchair.

Rather than allowing this period to define him negatively, Steven used it as a catalyst for change.

During his recovery, he retrained in Sports Therapy through Oxford University, achieving a Level 5 qualification, the highest standard within the profession. This academic foundation, combined with his firsthand experience as a long-term patient, gave him a rare and valuable perspective: an understanding not just of injury and rehabilitation, but of how poor systems, rushed care, and lack of accountability can impact lives.

Steven went on to work within elite sport and alongside high-profile individuals and celebrities across the UK, gaining exposure to best-in-class performance environments and multidisciplinary care models. These experiences laid the groundwork for what would become Livewell Health.

Founded with a clear mission, to deliver accessible, high-quality, evidence-based care without compromise, Livewell Health began as a small operation and has since grown into a nationwide provider, now supported by over 130 highly skilled therapists. The company delivers services across domestic, corporate, and large-scale event settings, earning a reputation for professionalism, clinical excellence, and reliability at every level.

Away from work, Steven is a devoted family man and the proud father of two children, Leo and Mia. Despite the demands of running a national organisation, he prioritises quality time with his children and believes strongly in balance, movement, and leading by example.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Steven has competed at county level across multiple disciplines, including cricket, and maintains a deep passion for football, rugby, and sport in all its forms. He now spends his training time immersed in CrossFit, Hyrox, and mixed martial arts, driven not just by performance, but by continual self-development and resilience.

At his core, Steven remains guided by the values shaped during his own rehabilitation journey: empathy, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to doing things properly. These principles continue to underpin Livewell Health’s growth and its mission to set a new benchmark for health and wellbeing services across the UK.
